Each kinder and first grade student get to participate in two clusters, each one lasting three weeks for grand total of six weeks of enrichment cluster meetings. The Showcase for these clusters will take place on Thursday, May 2nd (schedule TBA). We will have tours for parents. These will take place on Friday, April 5 and 19th.

Origami
Imagine turning a square piece of paper into a 3-D animal, flower or fortune teller! You can do it with Origami, the art of paper folding! In this enrichment cluster you will learn paper-folding techniques to make a variety of paper sculptures. Origami is fun, creative and great for sharing with others!
Out of this World
Are you looking for adventure? Have you ever thought about what it would be like to blast off in your own spaceship? Would you like to build rockets and blast them off? Well this is the cluster for you! Come join us...It's "Out of the World"!
Global Gamers
Do you love to play games and would you like to learn some new games? How about games from other countries or cultures? If you answered “yes” to these questions, then join “Global Gamers”! We will investigate the history of games and have some fun playing games as well.
Bricks, Plates and Beams, Oh My!
Do you know what I'm talking about when I say bricks, plates and beams? Would an adult yell, "Ouch!" if they walked through your room bare foot at night? Then this may be the perfect cluster for you. In “Bricks, Plates and Beams, Oh My!” we will explore ways to use LEGOs to solve problems. We will learn from other Lego engineers and create our own new and exciting Lego structures. We will also explore ways our Lego building can help others. Don't just sit around, "LEGO” and have fun!
The Game Spot
Do you like playing all types of games? Do you want to learn some new ones and have fun with friends too? Then come join us at “The Game Spot”! We're going to be having lots of fun inside the school and outside too. See you there!
Amazing Paper Airplanes!
There is nothing better than seeing one of your own creations soar through the air! In this enrichment cluster, we will fold different kinds of paper airplanes and test them to see how far they fly. Would you like to make a spy plane? A flying Ninja? A space cruiser? Would you like to learn about flight and aerodynamics? Then join us in “Amazing Paper Airplanes”.
Books and Cooks
Your favorite stories will really come to life in “Books and Cooks”! You will learn cooking safety, how to measure, mix, cook and create as we follow recipes based on picture books. If you love to read, cook and create then “Books and Cooks” is the enrichment cluster for you!
Recycled Crafters
Have you ever wondered what you could make out of a used water bottle or milk carton? A beautiful flower or a bird feeder, perhaps? In this cluster we will explore ways to make craft projects out of recycled materials. It's easy being green—and fun, too—when you reuse your household items to make creative new recyclable crafts!
Creative Card Making
Do you like to be creative? Do you like to spread a little sunshine? Do you like to cheer people up or make someone’s day? Then the “Creative Card Making” enrichment cluster is for you! We will learn different techniques to make pop up cards, origami cards, pull-tab cards, and many more. We’ll be using different craft supplies: stamps, markers, paint, glitter, yarn, ribbons, colorful cardstock and more. If you want to make birthday cards, thank you notes, and thinking of you cards then this is the cluster for you!
Snappy Snapshots
Are you an aspiring photographer? Would you like to be? Then this cluster is for you! Join us as we explore the world of digital photography and learn the tricks of the trade. You'll even get to start your very own portfolio!
Amazing Animals
Have you ever wanted to hold a remarkable reptile, a brilliant bird or a marvelous mammal? If you said “yes!” then this enrichment cluster is for you. Come meet Cleo the Snake, Snap the Lizard, Homer the Parrot and some “furry” mystery friends. If art is your thing, don’t worry we will do a little animal art too! We’ll create clay models of the reptiles to view. Then if you want to make the world a better place for the animals we will make something to help the birds in winter. All you have to do is remember three words: Amazing Animal Cluster!
Just Dance
Have you ever wanted to turn on some music and just dance? Have you ever wanted to learn different kinds of dances? In this enrichment cluster, you will get to just dance as well as learn different kinds of dances. If you are into moving and grooving then “Just Dance” is JUST for you!
Elephant and Piggie
Do you like crafts? Do you like the Elephant and Piggie books by Mo Willems? Let’s put them all together and have some fun. We will laugh as we read, write and make fun projects that Elephant and Piggie would enjoy. (Pigeon might sneak in too.) Have you ever made a bird nest hat or a snap and break toy? Elephant and Piggie are waiting for YOU!
Classy Classifications
Are you interested in learning how animals are classified? Do you like reading about different animals? If this sounds fun, then the “Classy Classifications” enrichment cluster is for you! In this cluster, we will explore different animal classifications on a computer. We will also take time to water paint one of the animals we learn about.
