Over the past two weeks, I hosted two Parent University classes titled "What is SEM?" The purpose of the class was to explain the history of the Schoolwide Enrichment Model (SEM) at Laurel Mountain, what does SEM look like at LME and how it affects our students everyday in the classroom.
I was excited that about 20 parents attended this year. Most of the parents were new to Laurel Mountain, but there were several familiar faces that attended to get more information about SEM. I really enjoyed meeting and talking with everyone. And for those folks that were there, you know that I love to talk about SEM, it tends to be a passion on mine. :) I hope that the parents who attended walk away with a better understand of SEM and why we use this model at Laurel Mountain.
If you were not able to attend and would like to see the presentation (or if you did attend and would like to look at it again), it is now available on the SEM website.
Continuing to develop the whole child...
